In this photo I have captured a cut up pineapple and the knife that was used to cut it. I believe this picture is better in black and white because it gives a dark feeling to the picture that is portrayed by the knife. If the photo would've been left in color, the yellow of the pineapple would take away the dark feeling.
This is a photo I took of myself in a mirror. I wanted the focus of the image to be my camera so since most of the surrounding items are a lighter color, the black of the camera really stands out with the black and white filter.
I decided to put this photo in black and white to create a serious tone. My friend i used as the subject is giving the camera a very serious stare which is more enhanced in black and white.
I believe this photo of a dog is better in black and white because it really directs the eye to the subject of the photo. Since the photo is black and white, the eye isn't directed to the distracting colors of the trees/leaves in the back.
This is a photo of my friend doing a cartwheel. Again, I think that the black and white really directs the eye to the subject of the image.
The hands in this photo were in the mist of motion and gave a ghostly feeling to the photo. Since the photo is in black and white, a creepier, more ghostly feeling is added to the image.
